Join us in Kuala Lumpur for 19th APCChE Congress
Welcome from APCChE President
Dear Chemical Engineers in the Asia Pacific region,
I hope you are doing well during the COVID-19 pandemic. The global chemical engineering community is doing our very best to support each other during this unprecedented season.
Similar to many other conferences and conventions, the 19th APCChE Congress which was scheduled to be held in August 2021 is now postponed to August 2022. We hope by then, international travels will be more convenient and affordable for most participants.
I would like to thank APCChE Past President Professor Shuichi Yamamoto (years 2017–2020) for his excellent leadership for the successful 18th APCChE Congress 2019 in Sapporo, Japan. It was the APCChE Congress with most participants to date, with more than 1700 participants from various APCChE country members. One of the important achievements for APCChE Congress 2019 was the Sapporo Declaration where chemical engineers are called to promote the Sustainable Development Goal of the United Nation (UN SDG).
In line with the Sapporo Declaration, the 19th APCChE Congress will have a theme of “Working Towards a Sustainable Society”. It is hoped that the Congress will serve as a platform where industrial practitioners and university academia can exchange view in various chemical engineering practices. As the host of the Congress, I welcome you to join us in the 19th APCChE Congress in Kuala Lumpur. Your continued support is important for APCChE activities and successful APCChE Congresses.
